They appear in the 1880 census in Port Jervis and were still in Port Jervis in 1890
when grandmother Betsey Haring's will was probated.

The 1880 census shows Carrie "Herring" living with her sister Anna and her husband
John Doremus in Port Jervis.
As Mrs. Bonker she is shown living in Port Jervis in 1890 when grandmother Betsey Haring's
will was probated. At some time they moved to Massachusetts, where they raised her brother
Milton's daughter Lydia, after Lydia's mother died. According to family records,
Harry Bonker worked on the Panama Canal.
